Our Mission
Raise money through charitable contributions to support capital projects of the South End Rowing Club.
The Long View
The focus areas of the fund are for major improvements and maintenance that contribute to the longevity of the club. Founding members of the fund have provided decades of volunteer work and advocacy for the Club. The fund is way to build a legacy for the next 150 years.
The Fund’s Giving Principles
The South End Rowing Club is the Fund’s only member. Allocations to other entities are disallowed.
Money is allocated to projects approved by the South End Rowing Club Board.
The Fund does not advocate for projects or lobby the Club’s board
Board members of the Fund will see no personal gains from Club projects, the allocation of funds, or management of Fund assets. Benefits must accrue to the Club and its respective members.
Donations to the Fund are guarded against loss. Funds will be custodied in the most reasonably conservative financial instruments
